Oriental Coleslaw
- 1 (3 lb.) head cabbage, finely shredded
- 1/2 c. sliced green onions (include some tops)
- 1/4 c. sesame seed, toasted
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 (3 oz.) pkg. Oriental noodles
- chicken flavored soup packet
- 1 c. slivered almonds, toasted
- Combine cabbage and onion in large bowl.
- Combine sugar, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and chicken flavoring packet.
- Beat with wire whisk until sugar is dissolved.
- Pour dressing over cabbage mixture.
- Refrigerate, covered, for 1 to 2 hours.
- Shortly before serving, break up noodles; add with almonds and sesame seed.
- Toss gently.
- Makes 24 (1/2 cup) servings.
