Mississippi Mud Pie
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 1 (12 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed and divided
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 (3.9 oz.) pkg. instant chocolate pudding
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- semi-sweet chocolate shavings (for garnish, if desired)
- Combine flour, pecans and butter.
- Press in pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inch.
- Bake at 325u0b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Cool.
- Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, 2 cups whipped topping and vanilla.
- Beat at medium speed with electric mixer 1 minute or until smooth. Spread over crust.
