Oatmeal Caramelitas
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. quick rolled oatmeal (raw)
- 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. melted margarine
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. caramel sauce (Smucker's)
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- Combine 2 cups flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, soda and margarine.
- Press 1/2 mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over baked crust.
- Mix caramel sauce and 6 tablespoons flour.
- Drizzle caramel mixture over nuts and chips. Sprinkle remaining oatmeal mix over top and pat down (lightly) to make a crust.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until melted and golden brown.
- Chill before cutting into squares.
