Meat Balls

  1. Mix beef, eggs, onion, bread crumbs, salt, chili powder and pepper.
  2. Shape into 3/4 inch balls.
  3. Heat corn oil in frypan over medium heat.
  4. Add 1/2 of meatballs and brown on all sides.
  5. Brown 2nd batch.
  6. Drain any fat from skillet.
  7. Stir in skillet, tomato juice, corn syrup, lemon juice, oregano, garlic salt and grape jelly.
  8. Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
  9. Add meat balls, cover and simmer.
  10. To thicken, mix water and cornstarch together to form paste and add to sauce.
  11. Makes about 90 meat balls.
