Chili Con Carne And Beans

  1. Brown meat.
  2. Drain fat; reserve 1 tablespoon.
  3. Saute onion, green pepper and garlic in fat.
  4. Put meat and onion mixture in large pot.
  5. Add all ingredients except beans.
  6. Rinse salsa jar and cans with water and add to pot.
  7. Bring to boil.
  8. Cover and simmer 1 hour.
  9. Add beans and simmer 15 minutes more.
  10. Add more water if needed.
  11. Serve with tortilla chips.
  12. Top chili with chopped onions and grated Cheddar cheese.
