Tortilla Soup
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, chopped with juice
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beef broth
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed chicken broth
- 1 1/2 c. tomato juice
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 3 jalapenos, chopped
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. A.1. steak sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 6 corn tortillas, cut in 1 inch pieces
- 1/3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- In a large
- pot,
- saute
- onion in oil, then add rest of the ingredients,
- except
- tortillas
- and
- cheese.
- Bring
- to a boil; lower heat
- and simmer 1 hour.
- Remove from heat and add tortillas and cheese.
- Serve in 5 minutes.
