Dutch Apple Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. Brush bottom and sides of crust evenly with egg yolk.
  3. Bake on baking sheet until lightly brown, about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove crust from oven.
  5. Combine sliced apples, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and flour.
  6. Mix remaining flour, sugar, brown sugar and butter with fork until crumbly.
  7. Sprinkle topping mixture evenly over apples.
  8. Bake on baking sheet until topping is golden and filling is bubbling, about 45 to 50 minutes.
  9. Cool thoroughly on wire rack (at least 4 hours).
  10. Serve at room temperature.
  11. Serves 8.
