Hot Tuna Sandwich
- 8 slices white bread
- soft butter
- tuna or salmon or ham slices
- chopped celery (small amount)
- chopped onion (small amount)
- 3 or 4 eggs
- slices of American cheese
- 1 1/2 or 2 c. milk
- 1 can mushroom soup, heated 1/3 c. milk
- Trim crusts from bread.
- Butter one side of each slice.
- Grease pan, 9 x 9-inch pan.
- Place 4 slices buttered side down.
- Flake tuna or salmon or ham over bread.
- Add celery, onion and 1 slice of cheese on each slice of bread.
- Place bread buttered side up.
- Pour eggs beaten with milk over sandwiches.
- Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
- For larger pan (9 x 13-inch), increase egg mixture (1 egg and 1/2 cup milk) and 12 slices of bread.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
