Beef In Creamy Mushroom Sauce
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. water
- 1 lb. lean beef sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 red bell pepper, cut up
- 3 c. sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 c. brandy
- 1 tsp. beef bouillon granules
- 2 Tbsp. chopped chives
- 3 c. cooked mastaccioli
- 2 Tbsp. low-fat sour cream
- Stir cornstarch into water and keep aside.
- Cook steak strips, then add onion, garlic, red peppers, salt and pepper.
- When cooked, add mushrooms, brandy and bouillon granules.
- Simmer 3 minutes.
- Stir in cornstarch mixture and simmer until thickened. Stir in chives and serve over noodles.
- Makes 6 servings, 3 grams fat per serving.
