Adriane'S Turkey Chili

  1. Heat olive oil in skillet.
  2. Add minced onions, garlic and green peppers and saute, stirring constantly for about 3 minutes. Add turkey and brown. Transfer turkey mixture into large saucepan and add all remaining ingredients, except arrowroot and optional kidney beans. Bring to a boil, and let boil for 10 minutes. Reduce to a simmer, uncovered, until the sauce is thick, about 20 minutes.
  3. Remove bay leaf.
  4. Stir in arrowroot.
  5. Add kidney beans, if desired.
  6. Put top on saucepan.
  7. Cook an additional 5 minutes. Turn off saucepan.
  8. Leave top on saucepan for at least 10 minutes. Serve good with rice, baked potato or hot dogs on a bun.
