Nun'S Cake
- butter
- cinnamon
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 6 well beaten eggs
- 3 c. sifted cake flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 bar German chocolate, grated
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. finely ground black walnuts (optional)
- Grease 1 large tube pan very well with only butter and coat with cinnamon; set aside.
- Cream well butter and granulated sugar. Add well beaten eggs.
- Add in threes cake flour, salt, baking powder, milk and vanilla.
- Beat well.
- Add grated chocolate.
- If desired, add black walnuts.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour.
- Cool 5 to 10 minutes, then invert pan.
- Icing is not needed.
- A little 10x sugar can be sifted over top of cake.
