Reese’S Mole Chili
- 1 pound ground sirloin
- 1 cup chopped yellow onion (from 1 onion)
- 1 cup chopped red bell pepper (from 1 pepper)
- 2 chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, finely chopped, plus 1 tablespoon adobo sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 (15-oz.) cans black beans, drained
- 1 (15-oz.) can petite diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter-chocolate spread (such as Reese's)
- Sour cream
- Chopped fresh cilantro
- Heat Dutch oven over medium-high. Add ground sirloin; cook, stirring often to crumble, about 5 minutes. Stir in onion and bell pepper; cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add chipotle chiles and adobo, chili powder, salt, cumin, coriander, and oregano; cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in broth, beans, and tomatoes; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, and let simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in Reese's spread; cook, stirring occasionally, until combined, about 5 minutes. Divide chili among bowls; top with a dollop of sour cream, and sprinkle with cilantro.
