Buttermilk Refrigerator Rolls

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Let stand 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in melted shortening.
  4. Sift dry ingredients together.
  5. Add dry ingredients and buttermilk to yeast mixture; mix well.
  6. Turn dough out on a well-floured surface.
  7. Knead gently until dough can be handled.
  8. Shape into a ball.
  9. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top.
  10. Cover and refrigerate until needed.
  11. (Dough will keep 1 week.)
  12. Shape dough into rolls as desired.
  13. Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
  14. Makes 2 dozen rolls.
  15. Bake at 400u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
