Meringue-Nut Pie

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients; stir well. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar at high speed of an electric mixer until foamy. Add sugar; beat until stiff peaks form and sugar dissolves.
  2. Add vanilla; fold in cracker mixture. Spread in a 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 250u0b0 for 40 minutes; cool.
