Taco Lasagne
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 1/2 tsp. cumin
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 (16 oz.) jar taco sauce
- 2 cloves, crushed
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. corn tortillas
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 1 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. and 1 tsp. chili powder
- Brown beef, onion, cumin and garlic.
- Stir in chili powder, salt, pepper and water.
- Simmer 10 minutes.
- Pour 1/2 cup taco sauce in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Place 5 tortillas on sauce overlapping.
- Layer ingredients as follows:
- 1/2 cup taco sauce, all of meat mixture, sour cream, cheese (reserve some for topping). Top with remaining tortillas, then 1/2 cup sauce.
- Bake covered in 375u0b0 oven for 40 minutes.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake uncovered 5 to 8 minutes.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving. May be assembled and refrigerated a day ahead.
