Taco Pie

  1. Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 400 degrees.
  2. Thaw pie crust 10 minutes.
  3. Prick bottom and sides of pie shell on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and reduce temperature to 350 degrees.
  5. In Skillet, cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned; drain excess fat.
  6. Add taco seasoning mix to meat according to pkg directions.
  7. In a small mixing bowl, combine refried beans and 1/3 cup taco sauce; mix well.
  8. Layer half of refried bean mixture in bottom of pie crust.
  9. Top with half of seasoned meat, 1 cup cheddar cheese and chips.
  10. Repeat layers, excluding chips.
  11. Bake on preheated cookie sheet for 20 to 25 minutes.
  12. Remove from oven.
  13. Top with lettuce and tomato; add additional taco sauce to taste.
