Puff Pastry Cheese Tray
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons water
- 1 (17.3-oz.) package frozen puff pastry
- 1 teaspoon seasoning blend
- Fresh herb sprigs
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0. Whisk together egg and 2 tsp. water. Unfold 1 thawed puff pastry sheet on an ungreased baking sheet; brush with egg mixture. Cut 4 (1/2-inch-wide) strips from 1 side of pastry, cutting parallel to seam of pastry. Place strips along outer edges of pastry, overlapping and trimming ends of strips as needed. Prick bottom of pastry generously with a fork. Sprinkle bottom of pastry with 1 tsp. of your favorite seasoning blend. If desired, gently press fresh herb sprigs onto bottom of pastry. Bake for 6 minutes. Prick bottom of pastry generously with fork again (to prevent center from rising). Bake 6 more minutes or until lightly brown. Let cool on pan 2 minutes; transfer to a wire rack, and let cool 45 minutes or until completely cool.
