Three-Bean Salad
- 2 cups canned green beans, drained
- 1 cups canned wax beans, drained
- 2 cups red kidney beans, drained
- 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1/3 cup onion, chopped
- 2 pimentos, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 - 2/3 cup vinegar
- 1/3 to 1/2 cup salad oil
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- Garlic salt (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed (optional)
- Mix beans. Add pepper, onion, celery and pimento if desired. Mix remaining ingredients.
- Pour over vegetable mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate for 12 to 48 hours.
- Drain and serve.
- Salad will keep for several days in the refrigerator.
- Dressing ingredients may be varied to suit taste.
- Number of servings:
- 8-10.
