Chocolate Cream Cheese Brownies

  1. Melt chocolate and butter; cool.
  2. In bowl, beat together 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
  3. Gradually add 3/4 cup sugar. Continue beating until thick and lemon colored.
  4. Stir together flour, baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt; add to egg mixture. Beat well.
  5. Blend in chocolate mixture and nuts; set aside.
  6. Cream together cream cheese and 1/4 cup sugar until fluffy.
  7. Blend in remaining egg and vanilla.
  8. Spread half of the chocolate mixture in a greased and floured 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
  9. Pour cheese mixture over; top with remaining chocolate mixture.
  10. Swirl layers to marble.
  11. Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
  12. Cool.
  13. Cut into sixteen squares.
