Garden Quiche
- 8 oz. shredded Swiss cheese
- 4 oz. fresh sliced mushrooms
- 1 small chopped onion
- 1 medium chopped green pepper
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. parsley
- 5 drops hot pepper sauce
- Kitchenaid pie pastry for 9-inch single crust
- Roll out pie pastry.
- Shape into 9-inch pie plate.
- Prick sides and bottom with fork to allow steam to escape.
- Bake at 450u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cool.
- Place half of the shredded cheese in pastry shell.
- Layer mushrooms on cheese, then onion and green pepper.
- Place eggs in bowl.
- Attach bowl and wire whip.
- On speed 4, whip for 2 minutes.
- Blend in cream, salt, parsley and hot pepper sauce.
- On speed 2, blend about 1 minute.
