Peanut Butter Soup With Pepper Jelly(A Spicy Peanut Butter Soup With Peanuts)

  1. Melt butter
  2. in a saucepan over low heat; add onion and celery.
  3. Saute
  4. for
  5. about 5 minutes.
  6. Add flour and mix until well blended.
  7. Stir
  8. in
  9. chicken broth and allow to simmer for about
  10. 30
  11. minutes.
  12. Remove from heat; strain broth.
  13. Stir the peanut
  14. butter,
  15. salt
  16. and cream into the strained broth until well
  17. mixed.
  18. Serve hot.
  19. Garnish each serving with a teaspoon of chopped peanuts and dollop of jelly.
  20. Yields 4 servings.
