Cheerios Nuggets

  1. Heat oven to 250u0b0.
  2. Grease 2 (9 x 13-inch) pans or 1 (10 x 15-inch) jelly roll pan.
  3. Heat brown sugar, oleo, corn syrup and salt in a 2-quart pan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until bubbly around edges.
  4. Cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes longer.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in baking soda until foamy and light colored.
  6. Pour over cereal, peanuts and raisins in greased 4-quart bowl.
  7. Stir until mixture is coated.
  8. Spread evenly in pan.
  9. Bake 15 minutes.
  10. Stir; let sit about 10 minutes. Loosen from pan; let sit another 30 minutes.
  11. Break into bite size pieces.
  12. Makes about 10 cups snack.
