Make-Ahead Chicken Casserole
- 2 (10 1/2 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli, cooked
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. herb seasoned croutons
- 1 1/2 c. (3 sticks) margarine
- 1 whole broiler-fryer chicken, cooked
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. grated Cheddar cheese
- Cook chicken in salted water until tender.
- Remove skin; cut meat from bones.
- Spread cooked broccoli in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Place chicken meat over broccoli.
- Spread undiluted soup over the chicken.
- Sprinkle cheese over soup.
- Melt margarine in a pan over low heat.
- Add croutons, turning until coated. Spread croutons over baking dish contents.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes, or until heated through.
- Can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving time.
