Pecan Torte
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped or ground
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. Cool Whip
- 1 large pkg. instant vanilla pudding
- 3 c. milk
- 1 1/4 c. chocolate wafer cookie or graham cracker crumbs (about 24 cookies)
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
- 2/3 c. chocolate flavored syrup
- 2 Tbsp. instant coffee or instant decaf
- 1 tsp. hot water
- 1 c. (1/2 pt.) whipping cream, whipped
- In small bowl, combine crumbs, sugar and margarine.
- In buttered 9-inch spring-form pan or 13 x 9-inch pan, pat crumbs firmly on bottom and up sides of pan.
- Chill.
