Skillet Sirloin With Sweet Marinade
- 1 pound boneless sirloin steak (3/4 inch thick)
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Cooking spray
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- Combine first 5 ingredients in a large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag. Seal bag; shake to coat. Marinate in refrigerator 8 hours.
- Remove steak from marinade, reserving marinade. Heat a large skillet coated with cooking spray over high heat. Add beef, and cook 1 minute on each side or until browned. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 4 minutes on each side or until done. Place beef on a platter; keep warm.
- Increase heat to medium-high. Add reserved marinade and broth to pan; scrape pan to loosen browned bits. Bring to a boil; cook 4 minutes or until sauce is reduced to 1/4 cup. Slice beef diagonally across grain into thin slices. Serve beef with sauce.
