Bishop'S Bread

  1. Mix flour and baking powder.
  2. Cream the butter, sugar and eggs.
  3. Combine these and add buttermilk and soda.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Add cherries with a little juice, chocolate chips, dates, coconut, pecans and vanilla.
  6. Mix well and divide using 2 loaf pans.
  7. Bake at 300u0b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until done in center.
  8. Wrap in foil and keep stored in refrigerator.
  9. This is especially good at holiday time served with coffee.
