Seafood Casserole
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. thin cream or milk
- 1 c. bouillon
- 1/2 c. mushrooms
- 1 c. shrimp, cooked
- 1 c. crabmeat
- 1/4 tsp. prepared mustard
- 1 egg, beaten
- bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. sherry
- Preheat oven to 425u0b0.
- Melt butter in saucepan; add flour, salt and pepper.
- Blend, then add cream and bouillon.
- Stir constantly.
- When it thickens, add sliced mushrooms, seafood and mustard.
- Add a little of this mixture to well beaten egg; gradually add all mixture to egg.
- Put in casserole or shells. Top with buttered bread crumbs.
- Place in oven for 20 minutes. Add all the sherry when mixing ingredients.
- Serves 6.
