Chili Beans
- 1 lb. pinto beans, cooked
- 1 lb. ground meat, browned
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 6 to 12 mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large can tomatoes, cut
- 2 small carrots, sliced into small pieces
- celery, cut small
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1 pkg. chili mix (French's)
- chili powder to taste
- black pepper to taste
- dash or 2 Texas Pete (optional)
- 2 jalapeno peppers (optional), cut fine (if you like it hot)
- When ground meat is almost done, add tomato paste, carrots, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, celery and chili mix; bring to a boil.
- Add chili powder, black pepper, Texas Pete and jalapeno peppers if you wish.
- Mix with beans; bring to a boil. Turn on low heat and simmer 10 minutes. Ready to eat. Enjoy!
