Spaghetti Sauce

  1. Brown onions, hamburger, peppers and celery in oil. Meanwhile, measure salt, pepper, oregano, sugar and garlic in bowl.
  2. When meat is brown, add tomato paste, wine, mushrooms, seasonings and chili pepper.
  3. Simmer very slowly at least one hour, preferably 3 or 4.
  4. Just before serving, take out chili pepper and stir in 1/4 teaspoon baking soda.
