Cabbage Patch Stew(Lo-Cal)

  1. Brown beef with onion.
  2. Drain and rinse with hot water.
  3. Add garlic powder, cabbage, carrots, bay leaf, thyme, 1 cup of the water and 1 cup of the tomato juice.
  4. Cook about 10 minutes.
  5. Stir in the remaining water and juice.
  6. Bring to a boil and simmer until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  7. Stir in the parsley and potato flakes.
  8. Remove bay leaf.
  9. Has 280 calories and 4 grams of fat.
