Chocolate Chiffon Cake(Makes About 12 Servings)

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Melt chocolate in hot water; set aside. Beat egg whites in large bowl until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff and glossy; set aside.
  4. Combine melted chocolate mixture, egg yolks, flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla in small bowl; beat 1 minute with electric mixer. Carefully fold chocolate mixture into egg whites until blended. Pour into ungreased 10-inch tube pan.
  5. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched.
  6. Invert in pan; cool completely.
  7. Remove from pan; sprinkle with powdered sugar.
