Sunsetview Restaurant Sunshine Chili
- 2 Tbsp. bacon fat
- 1 large Spanish onion, chopped
- 1 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- pinch of chopped parsley
- 1 tsp. sugar
- melted Cheddar or American cheese, to garnish
- chopped raw onions, to garnish
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 green bell pepper, diced (optional)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 clove garlic, chopped
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 c. raw shell noodles, cooked and drained
- In a heavy-duty pot, brown beef in fat.
- Add onion, bell pepper, water, catsup, seasonings and bouillon cubes.
- Slowly simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add cooked noodles. Mix well and simmer 5 or more minutes.
- Serve topped with cheese and raw onions.
- Serve with crackers or garlic bread.
