Yummy Peanut Butter Cookies
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3/4 c. light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 4 Tbsp. milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- Combine Crisco, peanut butter, sugars, milk and vanilla in a large bowl.
- Beat on medium speed of electric mixer until blended well.
- Add the egg.
- Beat until just blended. Mix flour, salt and baking soda in a small bowl.
- Add gradually to creamy mixture on low speed.
- Mix until just blended.
- Roll a rounded teaspoonful into a ball with the palms of your clean hands. Press crisscross with a fork to flatten balls on cookie sheet. Bake at 375u0b0, one cookie sheet at a time, about 7 to 9 minutes or until just browning on edges.
- Cool 2 to 3 minutes on cookie sheet. Place tinfoil or brown paper bags on counter.
- Scoop up cookies with flat spatula and flip over onto bags or foil.
- Let cool completely before placing into sealed container.
- Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
