Hash Brown Casserole
- 2 lb. hash brown potatoes
- 2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/4 stick margarine, melted
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 can water
- 1 pt. sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 stick margarine
- 2 c. crushed cornflakes
- Melt
- 1/4 stick margarine and add all ingredients except 1/4 stick
- margarine and cornflakes.
- Mix well.
- Put in baking dish. Melt
- second
- 1/4
- stick
- of margarine.
- Add cornflakes. Stir. Spread cornflake mixture on top.
- Bake for 40 minutes at 350u0b0. May
- add
- sliced
- mushrooms
- to top of casserole, during last
- 10 minutes
- of baking time.
- Saute mushrooms in a little butter, for a few minutes beforehand.
