Indian Pie
- 2 lb. ground meat
- 2 pkg. (10 to 16 oz.) frozen mixed vegetables
- 5 to 6 large potatoes
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 large onion
- 1/4 to 3/4 stick butter
- salt and pepper
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- Braise ground meat and onion in frying pan.
- Drain off liquid. Cook vegetables as directed on package.
- Peel and boil potatoes, when done mash potatoes with milk and butter (a few pats). Combine meat, onion, mixed vegetables and tomato soup. Use only 1/2 can of water. Mix well.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder to taste.
- Spray a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish with Pam.
- Spoon meat mixture into dish to 1/2 from top. Spoon mashed potatoes on top of meat mixture.
- You may need 2 baking dishes. Cut pats of butter on top of potatoes.
- Bake at 350u0b0 until butter melts and potatoes start to brown.
