Cream Cheese Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil. Coat foil with cooking spray; set aside.
  3. Beat cream cheese and 1/3 cup sugar with a mixer at medium speed until thoroughly blended. Set aside.
  4. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl; stir well. Combine egg and remaining 5 ingredients in a small bowl. Add egg mixture to flour mixture, and beat with a mixer at medium speed until well blended.
  5. Set aside 1/2 cup chocolate mixture. Spread remaining chocolate mixture into prepared pan. Spread cream cheese mixture over chocolate. Dollop remaining chocolate mixture over top. Swirl batters together using a knife.
  6. Bake at 350u0b0 for 35 to 37 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Remove brownies from pan using foil; cut into squares. Remove from foil using spatula.
