Margie'S Chili
- 1 small onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- olive oil
- 1 can Vegeburger
- 1 can kidney beans, drained
- 2 cans pinto beans *
- 2 large tomatoes
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 16 oz. water
- chili powder (Schilling)
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- cayenne pepper
- Saute garlic and onion in olive oil until onion becomes somewhat transparent.
- Add Vegeburger and continue sauteing until Vegeburger is browned.
- Transfer mixture to large kettle.
- Add drained kidney beans and pinto beans with liquid.
- Peel and blanch tomatoes; chop and add to kettle.
- Next, include tomato sauce and water and cook on medium heat until tomatoes are semi-cooked. Season as desired with suggested seasonings.
