Roman Holiday
- 2 lb. ground round steak
- 1 lb. seasoned sausage
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1 can green chilies
- 2 cans whole kernel corn
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 1 bottle stuffed green olives
- 1 can button mushrooms
- 1 can mushroom pieces
- 1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 pkg. long spaghetti
- Cook spaghetti until tender; rinse in cold water.
- Saute onions in oil until clear.
- Add chopped chilies.
- Add meat (sausage and beef mixed) slowly; cook until browned.
- Add soup, corn, olives and mushrooms.
- Use all liquids.
- Cook together until all ingredients are well blended.
- Remove from heat.
- Add 1/2 of the cheese, grated.
- Mix with spaghetti.
- Pour the mixture into large baking dishes.
- Top with cheese; bake for 30 minutes at 350u0b0.
- This recipe makes enough to feed the entire church (if Eddy's out of town).
- I'm exaggerating, but it does make lots!
