Beef And Green Peppers(International Cuisine Japanese)
- 1 lb. round steak, cut in bite sized pieces
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 4 tsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. wine (optional)
- 2 Tbsp. sesame seed oil
- 4 medium green peppers
- dash of black pepper
- 2 tsp. chopped ginger
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 1/2 tsp. Accent or m.s.g.
- Heat 3 tablespoons oil at high heat.
- Saute green pepper slices.
- Sprinkle on 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon Accent. Fry 2 minutes, then remove to a platter.
- Fry pieces of meat in small amounts until medium rare (2 to 3 minutes).
- Add vegetables to meat and mix well.
- Add 2 cups water and 4 teaspoons soy sauce to 6 teaspoons cornstarch.
- Pour over beef and vegetables.
- Stir until thick.
- Serve over plain white rice.
- Serves four people.
