Sweet And Sour Cocktail Meatballs

  1. Mix beef, oatmeal, egg and onion; shape into 1-inch balls. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add meatballs and cook, shaking pan occasionally, until evenly browned.
  3. Remove with slotted spoon to paper towels to drain.
  4. Add green pepper to drippings in skillet.
  5. Cook over medium heat 2 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  6. Drain with meatballs.
  7. Pour off all but 1 tablespoon fat from skillet.
  8. Add remaining ingredients and stir over medium-low heat until sauce is smooth, transparent and thickened. Add meatballs and peppers; stir to coat with sauce and heat through.
  9. Serve with toothpicks or on small plates.
  10. Makes 10 servings, 4 meatballs each.
