Kraut Balls
- 1 lb. hot sausage
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 qt. kraut, well drained
- 1 Tbsp. cracker crumbs
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 c. cracker crumbs
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. prepared mustard
- 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 well beaten eggs
- 1/4 c. milk
- Mix eggs and milk together.
- Cook sausage and onion until brown.
- Drain.
- Mix well with kraut and 4 tablespoons cracker crumbs.
- Set aside to cool.
- Combine cream cheese, parsley, mustard, garlic and pepper.
- Mix well and stir in sausage mixture. Chill.
- Shape into 3/4-inch balls.
- Roll balls into flour.
- Dip in egg mixture.
- Roll in cracker crumbs.
- Deep fry until golden brown; drain.
- Place in pan.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 15 minutes.
