Layered Hamburger Pie
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. mixed herbs
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 1/2 c. sliced, peeled potatoes
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 1/4 c. sliced mushrooms
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese
- 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 tsp. parsley flakes
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Recipe uses a 9-inch pie pan.
- In a bowl, combine beef, egg, bread crumbs, salt, herbs, mustard and garlic powder.
- Pat evenly in pan.
- Layer with potatoes, onion and mushrooms.
- Reserve some mushrooms to garnish pie.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake for 1 hour or until potatoes are done.
- Remove foil, top with cheeses, sprinkle with parsley; arrange reserved mushroom slices around ring of pie.
- Return to oven until cheese melts. Serves 6.
