Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

  1. Cook cabbage in boiling, salted water for 5 minutes; drain. Saute onion in oil.
  2. Add rice and garlic, ketchup, salt and pepper. Cook 2 to 3 minutes on medium, stirring.
  3. Add beef and cook 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and add consomme.
  5. Separate cabbage leaves.
  6. Using a slotted tablespoon, place 1 rounded tablespoon of meat on each leaf.
  7. Roll and secure with toothpick.
  8. Place rolls in Dutch oven.
  9. Pour on tomato juice.
  10. Cover and bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour.
