Liz'S Stuffed Peppers
- 1 to 2 boxes broccoli rice au gratin
- 2 1/2 lb. ground beef (hamburger or even turkey, but use at least 1 lb. hamburger when using turkey)
- 1 (24 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 small can tomato salsa sauce
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1 (3 c.) bag shredded Cheddar cheese
- paprika seasoning to taste (approximately 1 tsp.)
- 8 to 10 medium-sized peppers (use variation of colors for better effect)
- 1/2 c. instant rice
- 2 Tbsp. dried sweet pepper flakes (optional)
- Brown meat and drain excess fat juices.
- Cook rice according to instructions and add instant rice during preparation.
- Put in large pot all remaining ingredients with meat and rice mixture. Cook for about 1/2 hour on medium temperature.
