Hootenholler Whiskey Cake

  1. Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  2. Combine next 4 ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Combine molasses and baking soda; add to creamed mixture. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  3. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9- x 5- x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 300u0b0 for 1 hour and 40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Refrigerate cake for easier slicing.
