Caesar Salad

  1. Pour vinegar over anchovies in bowl; cut anchovies up with knife and fork, then mince with 2 forks.
  2. Let stand.
  3. Add salt and pepper to torn lettuce in bowl; toss.
  4. Let stand.
  5. Squeeze juice of lemon into another bowl; add coddled egg, Worcestershire sauce and minced garlic.
  6. Add minced anchovies and vinegar.
  7. Mix well before adding to lettuce.
  8. Toss well, then add olive oil and cheese; toss again.
  9. Add croutons; toss again and serve.
  10. Serves 2 as a dinner.
