Peach'S Hamburger Stroganoff(Peach Temmler)
- 1 lb. ground beef
- chopped onion, celery, garlic, parsley and green pepper
- 1 can mushrooms or fresh
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes or stock
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. flour, sprinkled over the browning items before adding the liquid
- 2 c. water (enough to simmer)
- salt and pepper
- Saute beef and onions until onion is translucent and pink is gone.
- Add veggies.
- Stir and brown, then add paprika and flour. Mix in and add water.
- Put bouillon cube in and break up.
- Simmer at least 45 minutes, adding water so it won't stick.
- One and one-half hours makes it taste better.
- Add herbs such as bay leaf, marjoram, thyme, basil, oregano and dill; also wine, 1/4 to 1/2 cup, if desired.
- Just before serving, add sour cream or substitute.
- Do not allow to boil or simmer; just heat and stir. Serve over your choice of noodles or rice.
