Paella
- 1 whole chicken
- 3 c. Uncle Ben's rice
- 1/2 lb. ham
- 4 oz. green peas
- 2 carrots, cut in small sticks
- 1/2 green bell pepper, cut in small sticks
- 3 oz. butter
- 1/2 lb. shelled, deveined shrimp in shell
- 1 medium onion
- 1 doz. cleaned Manila clams
- 1 tsp. saffron
- 3 Tbsp. capers
- 3 Tbsp. pitted green olives
- 5 c. Campbell's chicken broth
- Cut chicken into small pieces and fry in butter.
- Add rice after chicken is fried and stir for approximately 3 minutes.
- Add chicken broth.
- Chop onion and ham into small pieces, then add the rest of the ingredients.
- Mix together and cook on stove range over low heat.
- Cover and stir occasionally until cooked.
- (Do not add any salt!)
