Baked Spaghetti
- 16 oz. spaghetti, break into 2-inch pieces and cook according to pkg. directions
- 2 tsp. margarine
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 16 oz. small curd cottage cheese
- 1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 qt. spaghetti sauce (Prego or Ragu)
- 12 oz. grated Mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- In greased 9 x 13-inch pan, combine spaghetti, margarine, salt, pepper, egg and Parmesan cheese.
- Layer cottage cheese on top. Combine ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic and layer over cottage cheese.
- Add 1 teaspoon sugar to spaghetti sauce and pour over ground beef layer.
- Top with grated Mozzarella cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes.
- Serves 8 to 10.
