Cream Cheese Chocolate Fudge Cake
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/3 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Combine the first 6 ingredients and set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add 2 eggs, beating well after each addition.
- Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
- Alternate flour mixture with milk.
- Stir in melted chocolate and vanilla.
- Spread half of the chocolate mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan, then spread the cream cheese mixture.
- Spread the balance of chocolate mixture on top. Bake at 350u0b0 for 55 to 60 minutes.
